Terms of Service

This text describes what the server does today, in plain words. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and may change before the public realm opens. If something here worries you, ask via Discord or a GitHub issue .

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or playing on Bezgelor ("the Service"), you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is

Bezgelor is an unofficial, non-commercial, fan-made WildStar server. It is unfinished. Parts of the game are missing, untested or our own guess (the fidelity map says which). The Service may be offline, may have bugs, and may be reset: characters, items, currency and progress can be changed or wiped, with or without notice, for example when data is corrected or the database is rebuilt. Nothing you earn has real-world value. The Service is provided "as is" for entertainment.

We are not affiliated with or endorsed by NCSOFT or Carbine Studios.

3. Who may use it

You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher. If you are under the age of majority, make sure a parent or guardian is happy for you to take part.

4. Your account

You are responsible for your account and everything done with it. You agree to:

  • Give a working email address
  • Keep your password secure
  • Tell us if someone else has used your account
  • Not share, sell or trade your account

5. Open data

The public realm is a production server and a shared effort to improve Bezgelor. By playing on it you agree that data about your play is used to improve the game and is published only in anonymised form, as the Privacy Policy describes. There is no opt-out. If you want privacy, run your own server; the source is public. Test reports from automated characters are published too.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use cheats, exploits, automation, or unauthorised third-party software
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other people
  • Impersonate staff or other users
  • Trade game items or currency for real money
  • Attempt to disrupt or compromise the Service
  • Break the law

If you find an exploit or a security problem, please report it (type /c bug in the game, see Help, or open a GitHub issue) instead of using it.

7. Software and game content

Bezgelor's source code is open source under the AGPL-3.0. WildStar and its content, characters, artwork and trademarks belong to NCSOFT and are not ours. We do not distribute the WildStar client or game files: you need your own copy.

8. Suspension and ending

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or for other reasons at our discretion, and we may stop the Service at any time. You can close your own account in Account Settings.

9. No warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT IT IS AVAILABLE, ACCURATE OR RELIABLE, OR THAT YOUR CHARACTERS WILL BE KEPT.

10. Limit of liability

TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, THE PEOPLE WHO RUN BEZGELOR ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Changes

This is a draft and will change. When it does we will say so in the news and change the date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
