Get Started & Connect
You bring the WildStar client; we provide the server, a launcher for your system and the Field Kit, an optional in-game add-on that helps make Bezgelor better.
1. Your own WildStar client
You need your own copy of the WildStar client, build 16042 (the only build this server accepts). It is about 30 GB.
We do not distribute the client or any game files.
2. The Bezgelor Field Kit Optional
Help make Bezgelor better. Report a problem from the game in a few clicks, see when it's fixed, and find out why a quest step isn't working. Free, small, optional, and recommended for everyone.

Supported: fully tested. In testing: works on the configurations listed; more reports are wanted. Untested: not yet run; reports are wanted.
For what has been tested and how to help, see testing status.
Windows Supported
Windows runs the client directly, and the Bezgelor launcher, a small batch file, starts it and connects it to Bezgelor. Windows is supported: the launcher, the Field Kit and these steps have been tested on it.
For connection problems, see the FAQ below.
-
Install the client
Install your own copy of the WildStar client, build 16042. The launcher expects the default folder,
C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSOFT\WildStar\Client64. -
Install the Field Kit Optional
The Bezgelor Field Kit add-on reports a problem from the game and tells you when it is fixed. You can play without it. Install steps below.

-
Get the launcher
Download the Bezgelor launcher, a small Windows batch file, and save it anywhere.
Download LauncherIt starts
WildStar64.exethrough PowerShell, with-ExecutionPolicy Bypassfor that one command, and points the client at the Bezgelor servers. Open it in a text editor to see exactly what it does.If the client is in another folder, change the
cd /dline at the top of the file to yourClient64folder.The server address is set in the file and will be updated when the public realm opens.
-
Play
Double-click the launcher and log in with your Bezgelor account.
Linux In testing
Linux runs the Windows version of the client via Proton, a compatibility layer, and a launch script starts it and connects it to Bezgelor. This has been tested on Arch Linux with Intel graphics cards. Linux is a varied platform and while we would like to support everyone we would love your help testing it.
-
1. Have your WildStar client files
Use the WildStar client, build 16042, from a copy you own. You need the folder that holds
Client64(on Windows it isC:\Program Files (x86)\NCSOFT\WildStar). We do not distribute the client or any game files. -
2. Open a terminal
Open the Terminal, Konsole or Console program from your application menu.
-
3. Run the installer
Copy this command into the terminal and press Enter:
curl -fsSL https://bezgelor.com/downloads/bezgelor-linux.sh | bash -s -- installRead the script first: bezgelor-linux.sh (SHA-256:
e596c3a586fc8a2d0e47679566c5e8a682ecae4a1229ccb20e1f695c3053364e).The installer asks for the folder of your WildStar client and, once, for the administrator password to install the 32-bit system libraries. It then sets up Proton, a launcher command and an entry in the application menu. You can read the script before you run it.
-
4. Start the game
Open Bezgelor WildStar from the application menu, or type this in a terminal:
bezgelor-wildstar playThe first start downloads Proton (about 700 MB) if the installer has not, which takes a few minutes. The client then asks for its language and shows the user agreement: read it and accept it yourself.
-
5. Log in
Log in with your Bezgelor account. If you have none, register for a free account on this website first.
-
6. If anything goes wrong
Run the check in a terminal. It names what is missing and how to fix it:
bezgelor-wildstar doctor
For other ways to install and to troubleshoot, see the Linux client guide.
Steam Deck Untested
SteamOS runs Windows games via Proton, a compatibility layer, and the Bezgelor launch script runs the client through it and connects it to Bezgelor. This configuration has not yet been tested. If you have a Steam Deck, we would welcome your help testing it.
For the full steps, the controller layout and troubleshooting, see the Steam Deck guide.
-
1. Create an account
Register for a free account on this website.
-
2. Copy your client to the Deck
Copy your own WildStar client folder (the one that contains
Client64) to~/bezgelor/clienton the Deck. -
3. Open a terminal in Desktop Mode
Press the Steam button, choose Power, then Switch to Desktop, and open Konsole.
-
4. Install umu-launcher and the launch script
Follow steps 3 and 4 of the Steam Deck guide. They put umu-launcher and the Bezgelor tools in your home folder. No system files are changed and no sudo password is needed.
-
5. Start the game
cd ~/bezgelor/src WILDSTAR_CLIENT_DIR="$HOME/bezgelor/client" tools/linux/wildstar-proton.sh bezgelor.comThe first start downloads Proton and takes several minutes. Read the user agreement, accept it, and log in with your Bezgelor account.
An installer script for this platform is planned.
Mac Untested
macOS runs the Windows client via Wine, a compatibility layer, with DXVK translating its graphics, and the Bezgelor launch script starts it and connects it to Bezgelor. CrossOver, a commercial product built on Wine, is an alternative the project also helps with. This configuration has not yet been tested. If you have a Mac, we would welcome your help testing it.
For the full steps, the CrossOver route and troubleshooting, see the Mac guide.
-
1. Create an account
Register for a free account on this website.
-
2. Copy your client to the Mac
Copy your own WildStar client folder (the one that contains
Client64) to~/WildStarClient. Do not use a folder that iCloud syncs, such as Desktop or Documents. -
3. Install Wine and DXVK
Follow steps 1 to 7 of the Mac guide. They install Rosetta 2 (on Apple silicon), Homebrew, Wine and DXVK, get the Bezgelor project and create a Wine prefix.
-
4. Start the game
In a terminal, in your copy of the Bezgelor project, with the path of your Wine in place of the example:
WILDSTAR_WINE="/path/to/wine" WILDSTAR_PREFIX="$HOME/wildstar-wine" WILDSTAR_CLIENT_DIR="$HOME/WildStarClient" tools/macos/wildstar-wine.sh bezgelor.comRead the user agreement, accept it, and log in with your Bezgelor account.
An installer script for this platform is planned.
Tell us how it went
Reports from every platform help, whether the game worked or not: say which system and graphics card
you used and where it stopped. In the game, use the Field Kit's Report a problem or type
/c bug
in chat. Outside the game, use
Discord
or a GitHub issue
.
Commands that start with / and carry the chat icon, such as
/c bug, are typed in the game's chat box.
The Field Kit: help make Bezgelor better
The Bezgelor Field Kit is a small add-on for every player. Report a problem from a window in the game in a few clicks, prefilled with your quest and target. Ask why a quest step isn't working, see known issues for your quest, and get told when something you reported is fixed, so you can check it. Testers also get a panel to set up quests. It's optional: everything it does can be typed in chat too.

The steps below are for Windows. The add-on has not yet been tested on Linux, Steam Deck or macOS; on those platforms it goes in the same WildStar settings folder inside the Wine prefix.
-
Press Windows+R, type
%APPDATA%\NCSOFT\WildStarand press Enter. Make a folder calledAddonsthere if there isn't one. -
Unzip the download into
Addons, so you haveAddons\BezgelorFieldKit\toc.xml. - Log in. The game loads it by itself; there is nothing to tick.
-
In the game, open it from the Interface Menu, with
/fk, or with Ctrl+Shift+F.
The Addons entry in the options menu before you log in is greyed out on every server: the game only opens it once you are in the world (press Esc there).
More in the Field Kit guide.
System Requirements
Requirements are those of the original Windows client. The Bezgelor server adds none. Linux, Steam Deck and Mac also need what their steps list, such as Proton or Wine and the 32-bit graphics libraries.
FAQ
Is Bezgelor free to play?
Yes. There is no subscription and no real-money shop. The in-game store runs on currency granted by staff, or is set to free.
Is this legal?
Bezgelor is an unofficial, non-commercial fan project. We do not distribute WildStar's client or game files; you need your own copy. WildStar is a trademark of NCSOFT; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by NCSOFT or Carbine. This is not legal advice.
Will my old characters be available?
No, characters from the original WildStar servers cannot be transferred. You'll start fresh on Bezgelor.
What content is available?
The server is under active development. The fidelity map rates every game system and zone and says what has been tested, and the features pages say what is built.
I cannot connect.
Make sure you start the game with the Bezgelor launcher for your system (on Windows the launcher file, elsewhere the steps for your platform above), not WildStar64.exe directly, and that your firewall isn't blocking the game. For help, use Discord or a GitHub issue .
I found a bug. Where do I report it?
In the game, use the Field Kit's
Report a problem, or type /c bug
in chat and follow the
questions (how it works). Or open a GitHub issue.
I forgot my password.
There is no self-service reset yet. For now, ask via Discord or a GitHub issue (never post your password).
